Upon completion of this course you will be able to route straight pipes or tubes, place parts, route flexible tubes, adjust the design of piping or tubing network. CATIA – Tubing Design 2 (TUB) creates and manages physical designs of tubing lines/systems using industry standard conventions, terminology, practices and. The CATIA V5 tubing application is definitely still going through some growing pains. I have had some exposure to piping design and seems to.

Tubing Schematic to Design – TUE | Inceptra
Tubing has place for lot of improvements, beginning with full support of LCA exploded save mode. This is using the “equipment” workbench in conjuction with Tubing. The function-Physical Mapping rule is to be defined correctly if you want to map a function 2D symbols to a physical part. If DS at Woodland Hills are interested in listening to their client requirements hope they will So I didn’t had the choice to define clamps as Tubing Parts.
I hope to go to the next one, and I totally agree with you concerning informal meetings. I hope that future releases of Catia have improvements in this area What is the DS “new flexible solver”?
I might have my head somehwere else and don’t think I made any mistakes, but The runs are routed between equipments; you can locate your clamps in the middle of space and route through them, but it is a bit of a waste of time, since it is the structure that determines suppports location. Looks like they are taking their time working on this Tubing Workbench, but we will just have to make do with what we have.
These were just my first ractions for the problem. I am heading down to Woodland Hills on Sunday for a class on Tubing implementaion. The only change I made compared to the default DS flexible is a section sketch modification, and type, to fit my customization.
Again, this is real intelligence. But still the customer wants to go on with production soon. By setting up this rule, you enable listing of your parts during part placement: Tubing design in certain systems is a powerful tool when integrated in a manufacturing process; design can predict or evaluate manufacturing constraints which were only exposed during manufacturing trial runs.

Thanks for all your help! June datia, August 26, You will need to contact Dassault directly to obtain any of this documentation.
Check your PRM to see if the correct option is set: I am just getting into V5 Tubing and am starting to get into the logistics of it. But, we went beyond what DSA delivers as raw code; ours is customised to suit our processes. We needed to have a way to show a hydraulic hose as a single part with a specific total length including hose ends.

I agree desifn you concerning the set up effort, it is huge for nothing! July 5, I have a question June 27, Thanks in advance to continue this thread.
August 18, As for Kinematics, we save those off to the file system with the parts still controlled by VPM. If you can pass them the message, I would be grateful.
Tubing Schematic to Design – TUE
The class was not long enough IMHO, however, implementation is easily done as long as your homework as far as attributes is done correctly. We were successful in getting the Schematic Driven mode to work using their parts and details, it was definitely tough. Now I am able to create a schematic, place a part, then route a line all in the context of the schematic, then place a part in the equipment arrangement workbench using schematic driven, then go over to Tubing -design and route the line created in the schematic.
As for your tuing options, back in Tuving I was defining clamps as equipment parts.
